On October 29, Semillero Digital held its annual Piano Bar, a fundraising dinner that brings together leaders from the e-commerce and technology ecosystem each year to fund digital training scholarships for young people from low-income neighborhoods in Argentina. e.tres was one of the sponsors of the event, which drew more than 150 people.
A Night with a Purpose
The event featured live music, a scratch-off game with more than 130 prizes donated by partner companies, and testimonials from program graduates—such as Jonny and Gime—who shared how their time at Semillero Digital opened the doors to the digital job market for them.
Demian Niedfeld, co-founder of Semillero Digital, kicked off the evening with an image that sums up the organization’s philosophy: “I like to think of us as mycelium: that invisible network that connects roots and helps seeds bloom. Here, there are people with a very firm purpose: to foster inclusion, provide education, and dream of a different future.”
Semillero Digital currently trains 450 young people per year across the country in digital trades ranging from marketing and e-commerce to logistics and agriculture. It is supported by 400 individual donors, 40 partner companies, and fundraising events like this one.
Why e.tres is supporting this initiative
For Diego Gorischnik, CEO of e.tres, supporting Semillero Digital is consistent with the ecosystem’s vision: “The e-commerce ecosystem grows when the talent that sustains it also grows. Semillero Digital does exactly that—it trains young people who will be part of the future of e-commerce in Argentina. For us, supporting that mission isn’t philanthropy—it’s having a direct impact on people, the community, and our beloved e-commerce industry.”
Technology and Inclusion, Together
Initiatives such as Semillero Digital’s Piano Bar demonstrate that the technology sector plays an active role in reducing inequality. At e.tres, we celebrate the fact that more and more companies in the digital ecosystem are choosing to join the effort.
